When someone refuses to listen, breathe.
When others don’t keep their commitments, breathe.
When someone changes his or her mind, and it costs you time, money, or opportunity, breathe.
When breakdowns happen, as they inevitably will, breathe.
Now that you’re calm:
1) Love your life.
2) Invent your new plan.
3) Make necessary changes.
4) Update your schedule.
5) Don’t accept commitments from people who don’t keep them.
6) Don’t make commitments you won’t keep.
7) Take the first step, and then the next, and so on.
Take a moment to delight in the glow when you achieve your new plan and then do what comes next, which is usually the laundry.
Now that you’re smiling.
