1) Speak kind words.
It will cause you to replace the reactive mind with thoughtfulness. All it takes is a little pause. If you feel like you have to say it, ask yourself if it's coming from your higher self or limitation. The wisdom is to think before you speak with the other person's well-being in mind. The wisdom is to take the 18-inch journey from your head to your heart. 2) Ask, and you will find out. I worked with a fellow that had some concerns. It was a perfect opening for a clarifying question. I didn't ask but gave him an answer. It only took a short time to realize that I missed an opportunity to help him answer his question. The wisdom is to leave a little room for questions and for people to find their way. Give a person a fish, and you feed them once. The wisdom is that you teach them to fish, and you feed them for life. 3) Realize whatever is happening now started with a decision. That is the power in decisions. They cut away everything that is unlike what you decided. All you have to do is look at your life and ask what decisions you made that got you right where you are. This statement is as true in business as it is in your personal life. What are the choices you're making today? The wisdom is to carefully consider and consciously make decisions realizing that you get everything that goes along with each decision you make. 4) Keep all the agreements you make, even when it's hard to do. I love the simple wisdom in this statement. If you follow it completely, you'll notice that you make fewer agreements made with clarity and full awareness of what you're signing up to do. 5) Surround yourself with idea masters. I hear so many ideas every day. There are good ones, interesting ones, and funny ones. But it is the rare idea that is followed through from creation into action into completion. When you stand in the presence of these idea masters, you know that something will happen when they declare an idea. The wisdom is to work with these folks. They are the space of possibility. They get things done and lift everyone's spirits. May your day be both peaceful and productive. |
