#UnconsciousBias
Discover your unconscious bias by asking: ‘Where do my thoughts come from? How do they serve me? How do they limit what I see and believe is possible?’ The first step in thinking beyond your biases is to stop automatically aligning with the beliefs that arise from them—groupthink and social conditioning often replace actual thinking and curiosity. Challenge your assumptions by resisting the urge to reframe events to fit within your existing biases. Biases, both conscious and unconscious, are shaped by our life experiences and the authority figures we've trusted over time. When something contradicts your expectations, instead of dismissing it, explore it. By doing so, you build doorways in the walls of your thinking, allowing you to see new perspectives and reduce the blind spots that unconscious bias creates. Comments are closed.
