Whether it’s a hot fudge sundae calling your name or the urge to tell someone off, temptation is tough. The old advice to resist temptation often backfires—resistance can actually strengthen the urge. Instead, acknowledge the temptation. When you feel tempted, treat it as a prompt to pause. That urge you feel is a signal—not to act, but to think. When you pause, you give yourself the power to choose wisely.
