#HeldToAccount
Holding others accountable is challenging because you must overcome reasons not to, like thinking they're too nice, or they work so hard. Often, it's because you're too nice! Accountability may sound confrontational, but it doesn't have to be mean or dispiriting. Instead, recognize that the other person needs feedback to fulfill their commitments. Accountability is a game-changer because it sets clear expectations for success. Your team members, whether one person or twenty, will play to win. Accountability encourages people to come forward early if they encounter obstacles or have concerns about fulfilling their promises. Holding people accountable is NOT about shaming, blaming, or punishing. It's about achieving results and building a cohesive team. Comments are closed.
