Consider that you’re not upset for the reason you think. When you get upset, ask yourself, “What’s the source of this reaction?” Don’t act on it reflexively; instead, reflect on it thoughtfully. You may find that the trigger releasing your emotional response is consistent from upset to upset, whether mild or explosive. So, work on the trigger, not the event. Interestingly, you may find that the ‘trigger’ was an invisible pull from the past that, once identified, disappears and no longer has a hold on you. Comments are closed.
