Today, practice being present. It’s easier than you might think. Start by focusing on your breath. Sometimes, especially when the urge to be right overwhelms your wish to be present, you might need two breaths—or even more! Keep breathing deeply until your attachment to being right begins to dissolve. You’ll soon notice your perspective broadening and your world expanding. Now, fully present, you’re ready to engage artfully with your relationships. There’s nothing to fix, just the space to listen and engage.
